The Centre for Marian Studies is about to celebrate its 25th birthday: it was founded in late 1995 and launched during 1996. One of the guest speakers in that first year of the CMS was George Every (1909-2003), a well-known historian, theologian, and poet. Every knew T.S. Eliot. He gave a commentary on references to the Virgin Mary in Eliot’s Ash Wednesday series of poems and wrote up the lecture for the CMS. To read Every's commentary open the document below.
