New issue of Maria published

Writer's picture: CMSCMS

On this feast day of the Assumption of Mary 2022, we are delighted to announce that issue 2.2 of Maria: A Journal of Marian Studies is now available. It includes articles on Mary and ecology; Mary in Teilhard de Chardin's theory of Christogenesis; Marian sacrifice at the Eucharist; Ecclesial movements and the Marian profile of the Church, a talk given by Chiara Lubich at St Mary's University in 2004; and a translation of the second part of Eadmer's Tract on the Conception of St Mary.

The journal is free online on our website: https://www.marianstudies.ac.uk/journal

On the same link, you will also find information on how to submit a manuscript for consideration by our Editorial Board.

The papers in this issue centre on the relationships between Mary and Creation, and Mary and the Church, which touch on critical questions about gender representation. 'Mary and gender' is the topic of our forthcoming CMS study day on September 10th at St Mary’s University. We hope that many people will be able to join us at the university for our first post-Covid event in person (or participate via Zoom if not). The programme and registration link are available here: https://www.stmarys.ac.uk/events/2022/09/marian-study-day
